About Distrosub

Distrosub has been built with a simple goal: to create a more direct, supportive, and functional relationship between artists and audiences.

For over a decade, our team has been curating music festivals, running events, and now operating a live music venue in Brisbane, Australia. In that time, we've worked with thousands of artists across music, street art, performance, and more. What we kept hearing from artists was a need for more autonomy. What we kept seeing from audiences was a desire to support the artists they love in meaningful ways.

Distrosub is our response.

We believe Technology should serve creativity, not get in the way of it. Distrosub makes it easy for listeners to directly support artists, no middlemen, no algorithms, just direct connection. Whether it's 10 cents or 10 dollars a month, that support goes straight to the artist, with as little in between as possible. We are particularly focused on supporting emerging and independent artists, but the system is designed to scale to artists of any size.

The future of Distrosub will be shaped by the people who use it. We're learning from the artists and the fans, and adapting accordingly. Our role is to listen, improve, and make sure the connection between creator and audience stays at the centre of the experience.
