First-time songwriter Matto Rochford set out to save the world from Donald Trump with a song called "Hey America". His idea was that a supergroup of famous, non-American musicians would come together in the year 2020 to perform this one song, and deliver one important message to the USA, under the banner 2020 One. Kind of a "We Are The Rest of the World" thing. Not unsurprisingly, Matto couldn't get anyone in the music industry interested in the song, so he eventually decided to release his "Hey America" demo as an independent, digital-only single. 2020 One ended up being an un-supergroup made up of himself and his friends. The polite, hopeful song was inspired by Bono's "America is an idea" interview: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O8aLAZ8SnvI
