Having played under different names at venues such as The Factory and The Metro Theatre, 24 Hour Cynics is an up and coming Psychedelic Funk Rock band, the product of five Sydney kids with five different tastes in music. These different tastes come together to form a new sound which has already invaded the ears of fans across Sydney. Drawing on a variety of influences, the band credits the likes of Nirvana, The Brian Jonestown Massacre, Streetlight Manifesto, Black Angels, Thirteenth Floor Elevators, The Whitest Boy Alive and Parliament/Funkadelic as just a few of their many influences. "You can't not be interested in hearing this band. Driven by a frenetic and energetic stage show, the band aims to break the barrier between crowd and audience creating a compelling and engaging performance that encapsulates the essence of 21st century music, whilst retaining the attitudes of those before them."
