400 Watts formed out of a secondary college music program in early 2011, but they work so well together on stage you could be forgiven for thinking they’ve been together for years. The five members perform a mixture of acoustic and rock styled music, producing powerful vocal melodies with some incredible guitar riffs and drumming skills to back it up. Alex Mitchell’s extraordinary vocal range and ...Steve Beecher’s insane guitar skills are complimented by the head banging chords from Liam Drummy, the catchy rhythms from Matt Mitchell on bass and a solid beat coming from Tim Shaw on the drums. On top of having played many local events such as the 2012 Lake Mountain Music Festival alongside the rock icons Dallas Frasca, the band made it into the second round of the FreeZa battle of the bands. It can be expected that there will be much more to hear from them in the future.
