Albany-born collective 40th Parallel formed in the winter of 2023, over a shared passion for jazz, shoegaze, and electronica. Blending vulnerable lyricism with experimental saxophone and post-rock inspired guitar work, their sound has drawn comparisons to cult favorites like King Krule, Radiohead, and Black Country, New Road. Since relocating to Melbourne in 2024, 40th Parallel have been focused on crafting their debut album and playing more shows around their new home.
