A.D.Destroyer is an industrial metal duo combining diverse elements such as heavy beats and guitars with cinematic orchestral sounds and a female vocal that flips from sweet highs to unexpectedly aggressive growls. Formed in Sydney 4 years previously, the duo released their debut EP "Generation Excess" during the COVID-19 pandemic as a critique of humanity, exploring themes such as war, ecological destruction, and interpersonal conflict. A.D. Millennium, the noisemaker of the band, is perhaps best known for his work in Viral Millennium, but has also been involved in many other projects including Maximum Sexy Pigeon, Choose Your God, and Veil of Rain. DestroyerMariko, the vocalist, was previously in the all-girl band Rainbow Death Ray, but has since performed primarily as a solo artist, while also maintaining a chaotic presence on YouTube. A.D.Destroyer fuses the perspectives of these two musicians connected by their shared misanthropy and disdain for the failings of society, delivering a sonic rebuke to a world in decay with the 5-track EP, "Generation Excess", available now Bandcamp, Spotify, and more.
