A SKY ON FIRE is an alternative rock band from Melbourne, Australia. Their sound can best be described as pop music for the post-apocalypse. The band was founded by music industry students JAMES HOWARD (synthesizers/vocals) and MORGAN BLACK (guitar/vocals) in 2011, when they discovered a mutual love for combining guitar-based pop and electronic music. After compiling a collection of demos they were joined by COLIN ANDREWS (bass guitar) and ZAC DYSON (drums), and set about recording their first self-produced EP, Instant Morning. The EP was released for free digital download via Bandcamp in 2012, and was followed up by a live sessions film In Human Sight that was published on YouTube. The band’s first release for 2013 is a double A-side single, Beams / Shapeshifter.
