After two decades away from the instrument, Perth-based musician, Aaron Reiter has rediscovered a his love for the guitar, sparking a creative renaissance that bridges years of life experience with newfound musical passion. Living between Torquay, Geelong, Auckland, Melbourne and Perth of Western Australia, Aaron first encountered the guitar as a teenager and was part of the bustling Melbourne indie scene of the late 1990's and early 2000's. The guitar was set aside as life's responsibilities took precedence. Twenty years later, what began as casual reacquaintance has blossomed into a dedicated musical practice that has invaded every aspect of his artistic identity. "The time away wasn't wasted, and everything I've lived through now finds its way into the songs." Drawing inspiration from Perth's vibrant but often overlooked indie scene, Aaron has crafted a sound that's distinctly personal yet universally relatable. His approach to music-making is refreshingly unpretentious, recording tracks in a converted spare room using his old equipment that emphasizes authenticity over polish. This DIY ethos extends to every aspect of his musical output. Each song is meticulously "home-cooked" from conception to final note, allowing complete creative control over the intimate sonic worlds he creates. The resulting sound combines thoughtful lyrics with textured guitar work that reveals both technical growth and emotional depth. Despite coming to serious musicianship later than many peers, Aaron's work resonates with a wisdom and perspective that only life experience can provide, proving that musical journeys don't always follow conventional timelines. As he continues to develop his craft and build a catalogue of songs that reflect his unique path, Aaron stands as testimony that genuine artistic expression knows no schedule, and that sometimes, the most meaningful music comes from those who have lived enough to have something worth saying.
