Aaron Rowan-Bell spent his formative years travelling the South-East Coast in an old school bus and subsequently never finished high school. Since finding a love of songwriting at age 16 he's been quietly building material and sneaking on stage from time to time at venues like Melbourne's iconic Old Bar, Bar Open, The Night Heron and the Brunswick Workers Club. About to release his debut album "Are You Listening Dave", Aaron Rowan-Bell writes with a simple wit that flirts with irreverence and grief but ultimately settles on a quiet optimism. Produced by Carl Manuell ("The Ears") and featuring some of Melbourne's classic talents, "Are You Listening Dave" carries itself from folk to rock, with hints of funk and bluegrass, and a familiar voice asking "how did we find ourselves here?"
