Mitchell Kenny - better known as Abelisk - is a purveyor of musical weirdness from Brisbane, Australia. Starting in production and composition at a young age he would often be more fascinated with the technology and what can be done with it more than his friends. Mitch's music exists in a dark universe dripping by heavy tape saturation and punctuated with manipulated vocal samples, heavily inspired by contemporary artists from disparate such as Lorn, Amon Tobin, Massive Attack, Boards of Canada and Burial; Abelisk coaxes you into his bizarre cyberpunk trap. This can be seen in Abelisk's self-released full length LP titled 'Project Monarch' (2012) which is to soon be followed up by his sophomore album 'The Principles of Decay' (2016) and a remastering of his debut; alongside this Abelisk keeps his Soundcloud account active with a large amount of demo's to keep fans abreast of things on the horizon.
