After Opening are a young 5-piece rock band based in Brisbane, Australia. With each member coming from different regions of Australia (and beyond) their influences range from Bon Iver, U2, Angus and Julia Stone, Birds of Tokyo and many more. This diversity, combined with the enthusiasm that only youth can provide, makes for an electric and truly unique listening experience and the members of this inimitable band are committed to honing their craft and getting their music to a wider audience. Despite the mean age of After Opening being 16, songwriting is the area where the maturity and skill of each member is starkly apparent. After Opening’s music can best be described as “contemporary guitar band pop, with sprinkles of rock and clear indie tendencies”. After Opening are currently working on recording more original songs to eventually compile into an EP.
