An up and coming rapper and producer from the eastern end of Melbourne, combining the experimental styles of noise, industrial and jazz music with the catchy hooks and melodies of more mainstream hip hop and pop music. Akroyd Smart brings his own flavor with a plethora of influences to his music. Starting early 2014, Akroyd began his catalogue of music releasing a couple songs on YouTube for his friends and peers to hear before he decided to move into a more public place. Producing almost all of the instrumentals he raps/sings over, he aims to be as well versed in all areas and styles as he can be, going over loud, fat trap beats to more subdued boom bap type instrumentals, to poppy new school styles, to more noise rap influenced music. Akroyd has been consistently performing and engaging audiences all around the Melbourne music scene now performing with a full live band set up. His debut mixtape, INTROVERT, is now available on Bandcamp and Soundcloud
