Alan Mclean is basically a solo artist who writes, sings, plays, engineers, records and mixes his own music. The only part of the process he is not involved in is the mastering. He leaves that up to Rick O'Neil at "Turtlerock" Alan has a close network of musicians who he calls on ( or hires ) to help out when needed. Paying his dues as a drummer in grotty pubs and clubs in and around the city of Albany in Western Australia, he decided it was time to get those original ideas swimming around in his head down on tape and hard disk, so he bought some gear, built a small studio and using trial and error, went to work.
