Lurking on the edge of sweet-toeing-the-line and sass-queen, singer-songwriter Alana-Lee is no wholesome wall-flower. A religious childhood in Fiji followed by teen rebellion and adult adventuring have allowed the balanced Sydneysider a unique perspective of the light and dark side of life, which she stirs into her songs as an invitation to see the world through a bigger lens. Alana-Lee’s alluring and bewitching production sounds add another dimension to the traditional female piano singer-songwriter as her latest single Black Chemistry (2020) defies through it’s moody percussive rhythms, meandering hooky melodies and enticing vocals. A new live streamer and experimental home studio producer, Alana-Lee released Escape Act (2020), which was played on Double J's Stir it Up with Sarah Howells, and Weeds (2021) also supported by community radio.
