Alaska
Sydney Based 5-peice Metal band that began in late 2010. Our debut EP 'Moments' was released in August 2013, along with the video for the single 'The Skeleton Key', after the line up was solidified. Having supported the likes of OBEY THE BRAVE, FIT FOR A KING and THE PLOT IN YOU, as well as many Australian bands we are aiming at touring the EP early 2014.
Just another Bedroom artist
Alaska have been together for all of 3 months at this point. An emotive ride of writing, rehearsing and then performing 13 songs has been undertaken...and we survived...just. Inpsired by a load of artists, we have a sound similar to the jangley chords of Bloc Party, danger drumming of Jon Bonham, thumping and subtle basslines of Flea and the soaring, emotive vocals of a female Jeff Buckley...A depth and warmth exists in our songs right beside feelings of excitment and lovely tension.
