Alcotomic formed in Melbourne, Australia in February 1996 after singer John Freeman Baxter parted ways with Melbourne outfit Holocene and joined forces with drummer Andy Strachan and bassist Denny Brereton. The trio refined their unique brand of hard hitting power pop with producer Lindsay Gravina and in 1997 released their debut EP which included the hugely popular “Living In Luxury” featured on TV shows Stingers and Good Guys, Bad Guys. Three EP’s later, a stack of accolades, television appearances and dozens of national tours, the band took an extended break in 2001. Baxter and Inglis went on to form top 20 outfit Prettymess and Strachan joining the Living End. Fast forward two decades and the band has reformed with powerhouse Jay Pinfold from Juke Kartel, complete with 10 new songs mixed by Mark Rains (Rival sons, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club) at Station Studios, Los Angeles. Hot on the heels of acclaimed song Bridges, is the brand new single Sunshine.
