Alex Richens is an alarmingly well-groomed ex horse-whisperer from the Midwestern United States. He has previously gigged solo through the Canberra folk scene and at interstate festivals, and has a rich musical family background on all sides. He dabbles in guitar, lap slide, trumpet and bouldering. Joel Davy trained classically for 12 years before loosening his grip to focus on blues and jazz. He has been involved in the Canberra music scene as a solo artist, in smaller jazz and classical ensembles, and the Canberra Youth Orchestra before forming a duo with Alex in 2013. He sometimes plays the piano but is not really qualified to do so, and is growing his hair longer in case it becomes necessary during a gig to construct a bow for his cello from surrounding materials.
