Alex started playing in pub rock bands in the 70's and continued along with solo gigs into the 80's. At that stage he decided he needed to feed his children which meant getting a job that paid and paid regularly. S while always keeping music in his life Alex entered the corporate world and worked in over 30 countries around the world. Now he is back and loving it. Playing local gigs (when covid lets him) and creating new material and reviving some of his old original work. He performs both as Alex D Smith and One Plus Music or OPM. He describes himself as more folk than rock or blues now and the songs are starting to emerge from his soul.
