DJ Alex Maria has grown up on eclectic combination of funk music (James Brown, Gil Scott Heron), music from the latin jazz scene (Pedrito Martinez, Sergio Mendes) and also from the clubbing world (Ricardo Villalobos, Luciano Cadenza). These influences translate into sets where he puts together beautiful percussion grooves, bouncy basslines, and vocal samples, all on top of house beat.
