Celebrating 20 years in the music industry, Aleyce Simmonds is a two-time Golden Guitar winner, 2017 APRA Award winner for Country Work of the Year, and a multiple-time Australian Independent Music Award recipient, including 2016 and 2017 Independent Female Vocalist of the Year and 2017 Independent Artist of the Year. She is also a Hands of Fame inductee. Heart-worn highways, city streets, and deserted backroads—like any country artist, Aleyce knows the weight of every step. A seven-time Golden Guitar and five-time CMC Award nominee, she has spent two decades writing, recording, and performing across Australia and beyond. Throughout her journey, she has come to understand what she loves most about music, and in particular, the one constant in her life—country music. “It evokes more emotion than anything else… in my opinion. They say a picture paints a thousand words, but for me, a great country song sings a million words and emotions—all in a heartbeat.” Her third studio album, More Than Meets the Eye (2018), debuted at #1 on the Australian Independent Record Labels Association chart, surpassing Sia and Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds. It also reached #5 on the ARIA Top 40 Country Albums Chart alongside Keith Urban, Kasey Chambers, and The McClymonts, as well as the ARIA Top 50 Albums Chart (all genres). Her fourth album, Here and Now (2020), debuted at #1 on the ARIA Country Albums Chart. Aleyce continues to share her story through music, releasing new songs in 2025 as she works toward her fifth studio album.
