Alice Blu are a newly Melbourne based band. Having formed as a four piece in February 2011 back up in Byron bay, the boys have been gigging seemingly none stop since their first show which took place at the Great Northern Hotel in April 2011. Since then, they have toured Tasmania, Victoria and North Queensland as well traveling their home state to its borders. In September Alice Blu went up against 11 other bands from NSW and Queensland in the Tweed Heads Battle of the Bands and took first prize. The boys have also been working hard in the studio to come up with their soon to be released debut EP "Still Tortoise Nothing" which is a high life journey somewhere between the tides. Still Tortoise Nothing is set to be officially launched on the 10th of December at Mullumbimby Civic Hall. Next year bigger steps will be taken by Alice Blu with Melbourne as a home base and as the European summer calls out, so keep your eyes and ears wide open for this rapidly growing 4 piece.
