Enchanting audiences of all ages, Alice Hurwood performs original songs of ethereal beauty, accompanying herself on her beloved cello. Alice attended her first folk festival at three weeks of age to watch her idol (and mother) Helen Mountfort perform, and has since been traveling the world in search of musical inspirations. Having formally trained as a classical musician for most of her life, Alice is now breaking free from perfectionism, and sharing with audiences her most intimate experiences of heartbreak, infatuation, loss and self-discovery. In 2025 Alice has performed at Sydney Festival and WOMAD Aotearoa for Tabaran, and toured the release of her debut album ‘Can We Talk Sometime’ to Sydney, Nelligen, Canberra and Melbourne, including 3 shows at the National Folk Festival.
