all hands is a side project of sorts. consisting of songs written and recorded (usually at the same time) on an 8 track in a bedroom in suburban melbourne and influenced by the lofi garage pop of pavement and sebadoh, country tinged experimentation of wilco and post-apocalyptic come-down folk of arab strap. sometimes noisy pop songs, sometimes not so noisy pop songs but rarely as psychedelic as the author would like to believe. the first take is used. listen carefully for guitar fuck ups, out of tune vocals and forgotten words. it's really quite unprofessional. you can never have too much guitar noise. live performance of these songs, while unlikely, would involve an army of friends and family on found and home made instruments, horns, strings, guitars, drums and keys. you'd probably hate it.
