All Our Exes Live in Texas is a fantasy draft of Sydney musical talent - Elana Stone, Katie Wighton, Hannah Crofts & Georgia Mooney - all beautiful performers in their own right, here combining in four-part folk heaven. On mandolin, ukelele, accordion and guitar, All Our Exes deliver tunes that are clearly crafted with taste, care and skill in the context of a spontaneous, playful and utterly charming live show. Fair warning: You'll need your charisma sunnies or you'll walk out of the building a little bit in love. If this combination of showmanship and skill sounds a tad familiar it's because All Our Exes take their cues from some long traditions - their four-part harmonies evoke classic folk and they share the "entertainment is not a dirty word" credo with some of the greats of country music, but, as with anything worthwhile, they take their influences and craft them into something unique. Go see the Exes. And try not to fall in love too much. It's embarrassing.
