Altai is the musical outlet of multi-instrumentalist and vocalist Tessa Collins. After relocating to Northern Rivers of NSW, Australia in 2020, Collins took up residence on an avocado farm where, between dodgy Wi-Fi and driving tractors, she’s been steadily crafting her debut EP. Altai has developed a genre-blurring sound that weaves together dream pop, jangle pop, post-punk, and alternative folk. Their music pulses with ethereal guitar tones, kinetic drums, and vivid, observational lyrics—capturing the highs and lows of love, life, and everything in between.
