Meet Amali Golden: singer, songwriter, keys player and actress. Having spent the last few years singing and playing for a number of artists while honing her own sound, she’s now set to release the first taste of that musical evolution, the synth-laden R&B jam ’Elephant (Talk About It)’ ahead of a forthcoming EP. Appearing in Matt Okine’s new TV series ‘The Other Guy’ as musician Amy Wade, the song was created with her character’s storyline in mind. Written and produced with Sydney musician/producer Beau Golden (Daniel Johns, Ruel, Vera Blue, M-Phazes), the song tells a story of isolation as two people drift apart in their relationship. “This was the first time I’ve written a song in character, and it was strangely freeing” she explains. “Even though it was based on a character, the concept of two people in a relationship avoiding a dreaded conversation they know they need to have is pretty universal.” "Amali Golden delivers stunning midnight pop" - Purple Sneakers
