Distrosub

An electrifying four-piece, original, Americana BLUES-ROCK-SOUL Band with its inspiration from the golden era of Americana music of the 60s & 70s but delivered with a modern touch. The Ambush sound is built on riffy lead guitar, strong-gritty-soulful vocals backed by a driving, traditional blues & soul-style rhythm section. Its foot stoppin’, juke-joint rockin’, sing-along songs, drizzled with catchy solo guitar work and commanding, raspy vocals. With influences that span from Muddy Waters to Otis Redding to ZZ Top to the Allman Bros Band to the Beatles, the Ambush brings live wire energy and swagger to the stage that makes for a great show, loads of fun. #youvebeenambushed . Based in Australia’s premier, beach front wine country, McLaren Vale, these lads call The Last Chance Saloon home (their rehearsal, recording studio, wine bar, social club) where they craft their anthemic original music as well as creative takes on classic covers.

Hailing from the Greater Western Sydney area (Blacktown, Mt Druitt, Quakers Hill), Ambu$h has been into hip hop/rap music from an early age when his cousins would listen to such artists as Cypress Hill, Snoop Dogg, Bone Thugs N Harmony, N.W.A. etc. Growing up in Australia from a Maori background, Ambu$h began writing and recording songs in early 2004 with cousin and fellow artist Eranik. Ambu$h is also an artist from Dolaz Entertainment which features such artists as Jaybee and K.Black. He does most of his own production but Eranik and Jaybee also contribute his beats. His songs are typical of todays hip hop scene with song like "Ballerz (Feat. Eranik)", "On Tha Grind", "Get High" and "Weed Slangaz (Feat. Jaybee)" but also shows his lyrical ability to tell stories on the track "Fallen Souljaz".
