Andaman is a folk-pop trio who write songs that sound like falling in love in the springtime. Their upcoming debut self-titled release was written beside the blue expanse of the ocean in Sydney, Australia, and recorded in the lush surrounds of the Blue Mountains - and it shows; mandolins dance as birds, melodies trickle over river stones, guitars play like young heartbeats, while vocal harmonies rise and fall like the tide of the Sea the group is named after. The single "What I See" is a love-spell that first came to lead singer, Heirloome, in a dream - a shimmering golden thread unwound from their chest, weaving through their fingertips and leading towards a lover they hadn't met yet, who was holding the other end of the string. The story then wove itself in to a song as the trio layered harmonies, banjos, mandolins and guitars around the words. (Oh... and the spell actually worked, by the way.)
