Andrea Dawson grew up in rural Port Augusta, South Australia. After moving to Adelaide to pursue a music career, Andrea established herself as a highly versatile and formidable vocalist, fronting her own bands and working as a backing singer for well-known Australian artists. During the COVID lockdown in 2020, Andrea’s talent was discovered in a uniquely organic way by UK based Australian producer and musician Gwyn Ashton, alongside drummer Travis Dragani. After hearing Andrea perform one of her original songs, they were immediately struck by the power, emotion, and honesty in her voice. That moment sparked a year long collaboration, resulting in Andrea’s debut album, 'Tales From A Red Dirt Road', recorded with an exceptional group of Australian musicians. Fight Back! was the first single from this album, the original lyrics were written years earlier by Andrea’s late mother Diana, to help her to overcome personal struggles and “fight back” during a challenging period in her life. Poker Face (feat. Dave Gleeson) is the second single. Upcoming releases: The Gift and In Days to Come (double single) - November 27, 2026. Blame Game - January 29, 2027. Tales from A Red Dirt Road - Album Release March 19, 2027
