Andrew Beaton is a solo acoustic performer who moved to Melbourne from his hometown of Edinburgh, Scotland in 2001. His writing varies from songs about hazardous tree climbing to forgotten Formula 1 racing drivers while his lyrics still manage to retain the elusive universal quality throughout. From his experiences in playing in original alt-rock bands in both Scotland and Australia Andrew quickly honed his skills by stripping songs back and keeping it simple. This stark approach to songwriting led Andrew to make the move to playing acoustic shows where the songs and the voice really get the opportunity to shine.
