TDANGEROUSLY COMFORTABLE Andrew McSweeney ***** MELBOURNE artist Andrew McSweeney’s voice has eerie similarities to those of US singer/songwriter Ray LaMontagne and Canadian folkie Ron Sexsmith. The 10 tracks on this album are brilliant and a remarkable effort from an Australian artist who is largely unknown. The songs trace McSweeney’s journey to the heart of all matters that are precious to him, while the music is delightfully refreshing. Inspired by the death of a close friend, the madness of a loved one and his reunion with a son, McSweeney has joined forces with some of the country’s leading musos to produce a sensational collection of truly beautiful songs.
