Andy Bull is an Australian singer, songwriter, and producer known for his distinctive voice, imaginative songwriting, and genre-blurring approach to pop music. Emerging from Sydney in the late 2000s, Bull first gained national attention with his debut album We’re Too Young (2009), which showcased a cinematic style combining indie pop, electronic textures, and classic songwriting craft. 2010's Phantom Pains yielded lead single "Dog feat. Lisa Mitchell", a break out hit about the matter of depression. His later work, including the acclaimed 3x ARIA award nominated album Sea of Approval (2015), expanded his sonic palette further, pairing emotional lyricism with bold production and earning strong support from Australian radio, critics, and audiences, and received US support. Following departure from Universal Music to pursue a career in music for screen, Bull has independently released the acclaimed People You Love (2022) and Collapse In Bliss (2024) albums. Across his career, Bull has developed a reputation as a thoughtful and inventive artist, equally comfortable writing intimate keyboard-led songs and lush productions. In addition to releasing his own music, he has collaborated widely and maintained a strong creative presence within Australia’s independent music community. His work often explores themes of identity, longing, and transformation, delivered with a sense of drama and melody that reflects both pop sensibility and artistic ambition.
