Solo artist, surfer and nature lover; Andy Sullivan is a Melbourne-based singer-songwriter. His style rolls folk and blues into laid-back acoustic rhythms, with finger-picking guitar, warm-rich harmonies and authentic lyrics hinting influences of the late Elliott Smith. He has just finished recording his first single and EP in collaboration with good friend and producer Emily Toner of Wye In The Sky records, with release dates coming soon. The EP comprises a range of originals written from over the past four years, featuring upbeat rhythms with sweetly tempered, story-telling lyrics, delivered by Andy’s full-bodied, honest vocals. The first single and title track from the EP - 'Ride in the Sun' is Andy’s first official release. It represents a turning point in his broader approach to writing, to more playful and light-hearted style. Ride in the Sun is due for release to all streaming platforms on Thursday July 11, with the rest of the EP to follow soon after.
