Drawing inspiration from Nina Simone, John Coltrane, James Blake and Portishead, Annie Bass’s music has an intimacy that is both intensely private and impossibly inviting. The talented multi-instrumentalist producer-singer-songwriter has impressed from the outset, having released ‘Don’t Want’ alongside Christopher Port on triple j Unearthed in 2017, and subsequently added to rotation on triple j. Since then, Bass has gone on to release a string of honest soul searching electronica that have earned her acclaim across triple j, FBi Radio, NME, Pilerats, Purple Sneakers, Women In Pop, Something You Said (VICE), Stoney Roads, and many more. As with her songs, Annie’s live performances draw the audience into a private and cathartic space. Annie has performed at Splendour in the Grass, Vivid LIVE, Falls Festival, Bigsound and Groovin the Moo, and has supported Wafia, Touch Sensitive, No Mono, Owl Eyes, Jacob Banks, and others.
