Sydney/Eora-based multi-disciplinary artist and designer Annie Hamilton possesses a singular ability to capture the beating heart of an emotion and refract it through her own vivid prism, harnessing visceral, shimmering textures and wild, kinetic energy. Driven by an unquenchable desire for risk-taking, her constantly-shifting sound enters a new era with the release of her sophomore record ‘stop and smell the lightning’ (currently nominated for Best Independent Pop Album - AIR Awards,) melting down the building blocks of indie-rock and alt-pop that provided the foundation of her self-titled EP (2020) and introspective debut record, 'the future is here but it feels kinda like the past' (2022), and fusing them with unexpected electronic and organic elements with a fresh, extroverted tone.
