Annie Medling is an independent R&B artist from Tasmania, Australia. With no formal vocal training, she never imagined a career in singing. It was encouragement from others and a few near death experiences that would lead her to sing later in life. At age 20 Annie’s heart stopped while she was out for a jog. A passer-by found her on the side of the road and luckily she was revived. Eventually she was fitted with a pacemaker and promised herself she would pursue her dreams with a greater passion. So, at the age of 21, Annie opened Tasmania’s first Hip Hop dance studio, which grew to have 300 students at its four locations. At age 24, after much encouragement from her dance students, Annie uploaded a singing video to youtube. It was then that New York rapper, Chase Baker, discovered her and began mentoring her.
