Annika began singing at the age of 8, when her mum enrolled her in a Melbourne-wide performing arts company. It was from that, Annika’s love of all things to do with performing began. When she was 13, she saved up her money to buy her first guitar, after getting inspiration from her idol, Taylor Swift. Annika realised that she loved performing, but singing and playing her guitar was what she was most passionate about. At the age of 14, Annika wrote her first song and that was the kick-start into Annika’s career in music. Since then, Annika’s style and genre of music has grown, developing into more melodic, singer-songwriter tunes. She takes inspiration from ever-changing artists such as John Mayer, Ellie Goulding, Passenger, Lewis Watson, Gabrielle Aplin and Ed Sheeran. When she is not writing songs and busking the streets of Melbourne, Annika enjoys posting both originals and covers of some of her favourite songs to websites such as YouTube and Soundcloud.
