Annita Jo Haggar's interest in music was ingrained in her as a child from her Dad who was a singer/songwriter. From a young age, Annita Jo would really enjoy singing with her Dad, family and friends at wool-shed parties and the like in the Snowy Mountains and mid-west NSW. Those star-studded, cold but fire-lit warmed nights set in rugged NSW Australia country were like magic. A move to Sydney meant for Annita Jo long hours working and it wasn't until years later that she learnt how to write, teach herself piano and juggle a busy work life with her music. Annita Jo begun performing her songs at singer/songwriter nights at Kellys on King in Newtown, the Cat and the Fiddle Hotel in Balmain and the Newtown RSL. Annita achieved finalist status in the 2008 Songsalive songwriting competition and also performed her songs live at the Basement in Sydney. As well as her Australian finalist songwriting competition, Annita also achieved a finalists in 2 global songwriting competitions. 10
