Anthony Frazer is a Sydney, Australia-based singer/songwriter/instrumentalist who writes country/folk songs of honesty and clarity, songs which are drenched in the old sounds of country, AM rock, and what he describes as, “That old, elusive, hard to define woody folk sound.” As a member of the Sydney-based band The Richest Men In Town, Anthony performs songs inspired by his love of songwriters such as Jeff Tweedy, Bob Dylan, Willy Vlautin, Jay Farrar, Robbie Robertson, Neil Young, Townes Van Zandt, and Gram Parsons. Anthony says these songwriters sit perfectly comfortably with Australian songwriters who have been just as inspirational to him – David McComb, Robert Forster, Grant McLennan and so on. Anthony has been sequestered in his house for some time, writing and arranging new compositions, recording them on his Tascam 8 track recorder, getting the sounds he hears in his head down on tap (or hard drive).
