2019 looks to be ‘the year’ for Sydney’s only 'Psych-rock-hipdrop-funkbop-becroptop-grungeflop-topknot' quartet, ‘Apache’. Apache boast a catalogue of original music that captures the raw power of garage rock, while embellishing the genre with tasteful vocal melodies, psychedelic undertones and raucous saxophone solos. The quartet frequently find themselves unleashing their contagious energy centre-stage at some of Sydney’s top live music venues. Since their Woodford Folk Festival debut and EP release, Apache have been hatching a sequence of singles with an eye to their new album. Their latest single, "Lyrebird", perfectly showcases the group's musical sensitivity and swagger.

Drawing influences from modern contemporaries like Cage The Elephant, Queens Of The Stone Age and Deerhunter, Apache are intent on creating a low-fi garage rock sound bolstered with melodic substance. Gigging relentlessly for the first half of the year, Apache earned their reputation as one of the most exciting young bands in Perth with reviewers noting, “a precocious does of hard-rock craftsmanship, swagger, intensity and semi-telepathic jigsaw tightness” - X-press Magazine
