ARC are a 4 piece band from Brisbane, Australia. The band was formed when astronomer and singer Chris Reaves decided it was time to create a new musical entity to break new sonic ground and remind people of the raw power of a well written song. Chris Reaves brought with him to the new band his long term band mate and close friend Chris Richards on drums. Tom Hansford and Ben Ponting were added to the band a short time later on Guitar and Bass respectively to complete the line-up. The band believe in the power of words and the human voice and their music reflects this belief with powerful, dynamic vocal melodies and emotion filled lyrics at the forefront of their sound. This sound also utilises big drums, booming bass and spacey guitar to maximum effect. Circumventing the emotion-less music that is currently flooding the mainstream, ARC mix together pop hooks and rock riffs to create unique, well crafted, catchy songs that you will very quickly find stuck in your head.
