Ardent was born one afternoon in a garage in early 2006, where 4 like minded musicians; Sean (vocals), Damo (Guitars/Backing Vocals), Chris (Guitars/Backing Vocals) and Jason (Drums) got together for the first time, and after 30 minutes of jamming, knew that it was a match made! After a few months of jamming and writing, the band enlisted the help of bass player and friend Andrew, to continue the writing process. This relationship was short lived, and after Andrews departure, a bass player by the name of Dan stepped into the picture to complete Ardents current ass kicking line up. Ardent's sound has been described as a cross over of older thrash metal (Metallica, Megadeth), groove of 90's (Pantera, Zakk Wylde..Black Label Society), some newer metal influences (Lamb of God, Shadows Fall, Mudvayne, Devildriver) and of course, Ardent's own unique take on metal. Currently Ardent are continuing to gig around the Perth metal scene to further expand their fan-base. With a renowned live
