Aria Nova are an Eora (Sydney) based 4-piece indie-rock band making music that somewhere lives between late-night dancefloors and the head noise of the morning-after hangover. Channeling early-2000s indie excess and blending alternative textures with modern polish, the band have received community radio airplay and toured across New South Wales, with performances in Wollongong, Sydney and Newcastle. Members’ previous projects have shared stages with Beach House, Royel Otis, Amyl and the Sniffers, and Ruby Fields. Their second single Lover is a seductive indie-sleaze era influenced track exploring tension in unrequited desire. It builds from slick grooves to explosive choruses, snowballing a slow-burn emotional release that hits fever pitch at the line “I wanna be your Sunday Morning.” Lover’s washed-out guitars, detuned synths, and restless post-punk momentum will resonate with fans of Fontaines D.C., The Kills, Nirvana, and early Arctic Monkeys.
