ARIES is a singer/songwriter who blends pop melodies with soulful R&B vibes. Her sound is fierce and ethereal, taking inspiration from strong female voices. Her debut single, ‘Dangerous’, flaunts her powerful vocals, with smooth synths and a killer beat that will be stuck in your head for days to come.

Spawning in the Wasteland of Australia’s industrial southern sprawl, Aries was formed of the remnants of the great Metal implosion of the 2nd millennia. With their roots in thrash, death and power metal stylings, the core members of Aries, brothers Dorian and Fabian and their comrade Alex, sought to re-establish the forgotten art of Progressivism in the metal scene. Emphasising ground-shaking vocals, double kicks that go for the face and crunchy fingerwork that is anything but subtle, Aries seek to reintroduce metal to the public, pre-“CORE”-age. The wall of sound has been erected. The destroyers of old have been resurrected. With this Power they will Thrash you to Death… metal. Their first album, “War of the World”, influenced by H.G. Well’s soul-crushing war-S.F. provided the band with the project that would essentially give them their purpose. For those who have had the displeasure of sitting through The War of the Worlds soundtrack on vinyl or cassette, we understand your pain.

ARIES | duo from Melbourne

I am originally from London, UK and began writing poetry at the age of 14. My sister noticed what I was doing and encouraged me to perform at open mic nights. The first time I performed was at the Bug Bar in Brixton, London. I loved it and from then on began performing new material every month. I began experimenting with different sounds and beats and, from there, took a course to teach me how to put beats together and take my music to the next stage. After a 3 year break from music to do a Graphic Design degree at uni, I started writing again and in late 2010 completed my first album 'I Write My Destiny'. I have included 2 tracks from my album on the Triple J website - 'I Write My Destiny (Come Run With Me)' and 'Breathe' and a new song that I've just finished working on 'Seduction'. My complete album is available on itunes: http://itunes.apple.com/gb/album/I-write-my-destiny/id408625219. I'm now living in Australia and am working on my second album.
