Born in 2023, Sydney-based duo As People deliver an immersive psych-garage rock experience that evokes synesthesia, creating a 3D sound you can both see and hear. Their sound is constantly evolving, defying convention with an eclectic, ever-shifting style. They debuted with Bend My Brain (April 2023), followed by Soundslayer (August 2025), alongside a music video created with Matilda Elliott and Liam Black. The release gained traction with a 2SER premiere, interview and live stripped-back performance, plus coverage from Sense Music Media and Uni Tunes Podcast, playlist adds, and a sold-out launch show at Society City Wollongong (captured by MulletStainz HERE). In 2026, they have continued their momentum with Post Acid (March) and Don’t You Wanna (May) and So You Say (July) with all tracks getting notable attention such as premiering on VOX FM and landing on SYN Radio’s Hoist Hot Hits rotation in its release week followed by a rotation add on Edge Radio. On the live circuit, As People have supported Mac The Knife, Proxy Diver, Major Arcana, LSF, Lux Trevis, Lady Lazarus, Loons, SUZI, Wisdom Teeth and Debbies, cementing their place as a fast-rising act to watch.
