Edit history

Ascent of Autumn is a metal band from Sydney, Australia, comprising of Tristan Daniell (vocals), Jordan Jacques (guitars), and Natthapol Janpuang (drums). While the three-piece's early work resembles a melodic metalcore sound inspired by bands like As I Lay Dying, Bullet for my Valentine, and Currents, they quickly began to incorporate much darker inspiration from bands such as As Blood Runs Black, Shadow of Intent, and Fit for an Autopsy. The band's lyrics mostly pertain to personal strife and growth, often alluding to philosophical topics such as existentialism and nihilism.
