Striving to inject diversity and representation into mainstream pop, Asher X combines honest, heartfelt lyrics with smooth vocal textures over crisp, fun beats. With that being the hallmark of Asher X’s sound, the rhythmic “Slow Mo” and contagious “We Chill” have derived elements from his experiences growing up as an ethnic minority in his home nation. His first EP “Medicate/Meditate” was released in March 2019, and is a 5-song journey touching upon losing important relationships, the aftermath, and the rebuilding of one’s self-identity after the emotional storm. The EP is now available in online stores and streaming platforms, and is already impressing listeners with its well-crafted songs and inspiring themes. www.asherx.com
