Byron Bay-born Lismore-based Australian singer-songwriter and producer Ashley Nicholls makes chill and relaxed soft rock ballads. He also has indigenous Maori heritage from New Zealand. Ashley worked as a youth worker in regional and coastal towns and now as a recreation and activities officer in aged care. He volunteers for Headspace youth mental health organisation as a part of a youth focussed music group collaborating with other young artists, and Vincent Stone mentor/co-facilitator. Ashley has a passion for community services and helping others, creating positive action among young people and the community. His life journey has been attributed to his healthy values and beliefs including vegan diet, meditation, yoga, and healthy living. Ashley was gifted a guitar from his grandfather which inspired him to learn this instrument and make music from the heart. His relaxed and chill attitude towards life has shaped his style of music. This is one outlet that helps with his wellbeing and his desire to share messages of love, hope and to express himself. His Debut single ‘My Beautiful friend’ is out now.
