1 singer/writer/producer + 1 cellist /drone&delay lover + 1 bassist/geek + 1 tabla player + 1 drummer + 1 violinist + at least 5 other singers = ASI Acoustic folk grows into a beat box romp. Straight-up political hip-hop is followed by 22-beat indie rock. The epic of the album journeys through found-sounds, ambient, trance and rock'n'roll before building into a thundering wall of percussion. Yet despite defying classification, ASI contains a constant: a story in the lyrics and the music that carries you from one sonic landscape to the next.
