Astari is an Australian/Balinese songwriter based in Naarm. After performing in several Sydney projects, she began releasing music as a solo artist in 2024. Astari distills personal moments and everyday experiences into intimate, reflective songs. Her latest single, 'Sound of My Shoes', produced by Soren Maryasin and mixed by Alex O’Gorman, was inspired by a lockdown moment watching The Wizard of Oz on mute while playing The Dark Side of the Moon - two unrelated masterpieces syncing undeniably in a mesmerising way. Blending quiet observation with a sense of whimsy and wonder, Astari creates music that feels both deeply personal and universally relatable.
